ASTHMA DETERMINED TO LEAD TO HEART
DISEASE… New Study
IThe newest studies have determined
that asthma can lead to serious heart disease. Of course, we must always be vigilant when it comes to studies as
they can determine anything the researchers want to determine! To my mind, take everything with a grain of salt.
This having been said, the majority of participants of the study have helped scientists decide that Asthma definitely
leads to heart deterioration. This certainly makes sense, and seems to be a no-brainer. When the body cannot take
in enough oxygen through the lungs to be carried as a life-giving agent in the blood…of course, heart disease becomes
a major factor. The blood vessels become damaged over time, and the conditions are right for heart attacks.
Asthma attacks seem to be triggered by environmental conditions, allergens in food, anxiety, stress, exercise,
emotional upheavals, chemicals and drugs, smoke, and a hypersensitivity to dust, mold, and spores. The airwaves
do not constrict as a result of an asthma attack, but rather, constrict due to a narrowing and hardening of lung
tissue over a long period of time. The more it goes on, the less oxygen can be processed and the more the deterioration
continues. It seems to be a “chicken and egg” situation, but is, rather, a deterioration over many years.
Drug inhalants have been refined over many years of testing and nowadays, asthmatics lesser amounts of the drugs
than they ever have before because the method of application has improved. Breathing in in short gasps has helped
the drugs become effective faster and therefore lead to a lesser need. There is a definite trick to inhalation
and doctors must instruct patients on how to ingest the spray.
Strangely enough, the people most affected by asthma are those under sixteen and over 65…so it seems to be the
time of maximum immune protectin of the body between 17 and 64 helps allows most of us to ward off the effects
of environmental polution and other toxins. Asthmatics would be best off living in the wilderness far from heavy
industry and vehicls. Paint fumes, dry cleaning chemicals, and urethane and polyurethane are among the largest
culprits for asthma attacks. Many children grow out of the symptoms as they reach adulthood, but the pollution
in large cities is especially damaging to them early on in life…and apparently later on when immune function plummets
again.
Asthma affects over 10 million people (both adults and children) in the U.S. alone every year. Clean air is of
utmost importance and furnaces that ionize dust particles are crucial in many cities. It’s an eye opener to just
listen to the furnace “poofing” every bit of dust that passes through the furnace…There’s a definite aural sigh
when dust is pulverized and deleted from the equation.
Up to now, there has been a form of asthma caused by heart failure, but nobody ever realized that asthma could
actually cause heart disease and heart attacks. These new findings should make everyone sit up and take notice.
Asthma, by itself seems to have been under control (according to mainstream medical stats) for the most part, but
now, when people have serious heart attacks, tests may be made to determine if the heart attacks are a result of
advanced Asthma…just another worry for someone suffering from that awful “takes my breath away” condition.
The clear line of reasoning seems to be palliative these days with doctors recommending drugs that only relieve
symptoms…and those for short periods of time only. Maybe asthmatics should get on the immune system bandwagon and
start improving their complete system. Why not try some immune boosting nutrients. Quercitin C and bromelain, along
with Vitamin C (with essential Bioflavonoids) are powerful immune enhancers. Other important immune system enhancing
nutrients include Flax seed and Evening Primrose Oil, Vit. B5, 6, 12, Vitamins A, E, CoQ10, Calcium and Magnesium
and many other essential nutrients. If you’re not getting enough of these supplements, you may be prone to Astham
and will only realize it when it’s too late.
My belief is that we must be ever vigilant with our overall health and take nothing for granted. As a continent,
we eat far too much bad stuff, don’t take our overall health seriously enough and are deteriorating at record speed
in spite of ourselves. It’s only when we become ill and ask for the help of a physician in hopes that he or she
will put us back on top of the world, that we realize our delicate condition and hope that someone else will make
everything right.
We must take control of our bodies so that we don’t become debilitated with diseases like Asthma…and the resultant
heart disease which will take millions to an early grave. Let’s become nutritionally aware, and therefore healthier
in the long run!
