Leonard Cohen Festival Visual Arts Display
A visual arts display inspired by the life
and work of Leonard Cohen will be mounted at City Hall September 7 to 21. There is no charge to view the exhibit
which is part of the annual Leonard Cohen Festival. Hundreds of visual artists in Edmonton and area have been inspired
by Leonard Cohen's lyrics and melodies and have transferred their musical thoughts to canvas, paper and other supports

Alberta Culture and Recreation has designated Jasper as one of three communities in the West Yellowhead Region
that will host between 1,200 to 1,500 junior athletes including their parents, coaches and chaperones during the
2006 Alberta Winter Games, February 23 - 26, 2006. As the leading purveyors of visual arts in Jasper, JAG has committed
to presenting Mythallica, a group show that is youthful in spirit, ingenious and visually spectacular. Aimed at
welding raw elements such as steel with the poetic side of artistic nature, Mythallica will provide a visually
cohesive, sound and vision environment that is bound to impress both a younger and not-so-young audience. |

MURAL PREVIEW
On July 13th at the Red Strap Market (97
street & 103 avenue) = in Edmonton, there will be a Preview of the Mural with a presentation discussing how
the mural mosaic was created, the history of Mural Mosaic, information on some of the participants and info about
CPAWS and its objectives. There will be a powerpoint presentation and everyone can meet Lewis Lavoie- designer
of the Mural Mosaic concept. 11:30 - 1:30 This is open to all artists and anyone in the general public. Please
join us and invite your friends if you are in the area.
